Jerry Hall and Rupert Murdoch were joined by friends and family for a lavish wedding blessing ceremony on Saturday. The newlyweds continued their weekend of celebrations with a service at St. Bride’s Church on London’s Fleet Street on Saturday.
The happy couple married in a low-key civil ceremony at Spencer House on Friday, but were joined by around 120 guests for Saturday’s blessing at the 18th century church, which is known as “the spiritual home of the media”.

While their civil ceremony was incredibly low-key, the newlyweds invited a larger group of guests for their wedding blessing. One friend who was disappointed to be missing the nuptials was Dame Joan Collins, who told HELLO! magazine that Jerry had “an unmistakeable glow” after confiding that she had become engaged to Rupert in December.
“Well Jerry – I kept the secret – and despite being sad I cannot be there to celebrate with you, I’m wishing that radiant glow stays with you forever,” Dame Joan said.

Jerry, 59, and Rupert, 84, were introduced by Rupert’s niece Penny Fowler in Australia late last summer. They confirmed their romance at the Rugby World Cup Final in October, and made their first red carpet appearance at the Golden Globes in January, before announcing their engagement in The Times newspaper the following day.
