The Seventies has once again found it’s way into our wardrobe and this time it’s with the long, flowy dresses. We’ve seen designers such as Rebecca Minkoff, Anna Sui, and BCBGMaxazria sending the most beautiful, lightweight dresses down the catwalks, and this new take on bohemian style offers wearers something ultra-feminine and romantic.

The amazing thing about this style is that it super comfortable and very flattering. The dresses also come in a wide variety of different prints from vivid coloured prints such as paisleys and florals, to the more romantic crochet and lace options. As well as a variation of styles including asymmetrical hems, bell & bishop sleeves, and ruffles, which not only add glamour to your look but also add volume and width to your outfit – although, that’s not a great option if you want something that will give your body a more slimming effect.

A new boho dress is the perfect transeasonal piece, and can be worn on their own during the warmer months or layered with a cropped leather or shearling jacket. Still wondering how you should style this look? The key is to keep your hair and makeup looking as natural as possible. Wear minimal makeup (stick to the basics: nude eyeshadows, concealer and mascara) and light pink lipstick. Also, we advise you keep your accessories to a minimum so that the dress is the focal point of your look. A statement ring, a pendant necklace, a string of beads, or an obi-style belt would pull your look together nicely.

As for footwear, while the regular bohemian style tends to suit flats better, these dresses allow you the option of wearing heels, too. Strappy sandals look very stylish with an asymmetrical hem or side slits, while pointy toe pumps tend to suit a shorter and straighter hemline.
